Echoes of Fashion
A thirty-second fashion film for atelier Maison Ora — fabric, movement and light, cut like music.
Overview
Selling a Feeling, Not a Garment
Maison Ora asked for a launch film for their autumn capsule that felt like the clothes: restrained, architectural, quietly dramatic. We answered with an editorial approach — a single model, a cyclorama, wind machines and one dramatic red-gelled setup that gives the film its signature frame.
Our motion team designed the title cards and end lockup in the house serif, and the grade keeps skin honest while pushing the shadows warm. The result plays as well muted on a boutique wall as it does with full sound online.
The Challenge
High fashion on a commercial timeline: one shoot day, seven looks, zero room for overtime. We pre-lit the three setups the night before and blocked every look to the minute, so the model spent the day performing instead of waiting.
The Approach
Slow motion at 96 frames per second for fabric, real time for the face. Cutting between the two speeds gives the film its breathing rhythm — drifting cloth, decisive eyes — and lets the thirty seconds feel twice as long.
Campaign Frames
Deliverables
- — 30-second hero commercial master
- — 15-second and 6-second cut-downs
- — Silent boutique-wall loop version
- — Key art stills for print and OOH
Outcome
The film fronted the capsule launch across the brand's site, social channels and flagship store, with the red-gelled frame becoming the collection's defining image.
